SPARC Gallery | Holiday Group Art Exhibition & Sale | South Pasadenan
The first holiday shoppers with art lovers on your list: Come to the SPARC Gallery on Thursday, December 2, 5-7 p.m. during the South Pasadena Town Farmer’s Market and Annual Tree Lighting event. and stroll through the streets ”, where affordable works by renowned professional artists will be available for purchase in a variety of mediums – watercolor and oil paintings, collage, ceramics and soft sculpture. The featured artists are Victoria Arriola, Michael Campagna, Elaine Carhartt, Laurie Hendricks, Shelley Stephens, Rebecca Tager, Cynthia Thiel and Ella Trimarchi.
The holiday group art exhibition and sale will then officially open on Saturday, December 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (with live music provided by saxophonist Taylor Plenn) and continue until January 7, 2022. .
The South Pasadena Arts Council’s first published book will also be on sale in the SPARC Gallery for the duration of the exhibition, “The Art Box Poems”, by Rick Leddy, a collection of evocative poems and striking photographs of what inspired them: SPARC’s collaboration with the City of South Pasadena that commissioned artists to transform the city utility boxes in a visual feast of design and color.
