Silicon Valley Sculpture Brings Unique Perspective to Second Release | New
“Shifting Perspectives” is the theme of the second annual Silicon Valley Sculpture Fair, which will take place September 24-26 at Menlo College. The theme describes not only the works of art on display, but also the personal ideas of the artists and the audience who come together amid the challenges of the ongoing pandemic and other issues.
The Sculpture Fair, presented with support from the Art Ventures Gallery in Menlo Park, makes the most of the Bay Area’s perfect fall climate with self-guided tours of unique large-scale sculpture on the grounds of Menlo College. All sculptures are for sale and will help raise funds for Menlo Park’s nonprofit public art.
Visitors to the fair can walk the grounds and enjoy the exhibition of sculptures by over 30 different artists who have exhibited in various venues around the world, from universities and museums to the Burning Man festival.
Although most of the sculptors are based in California, the fair features artists from across the country, including Foon Sham, a Chinese sculptor born in Macau, currently a professor of fine arts at the University of Maryland, who is the artist. principal of the fair.
Silicon Valley Sculpture is offering additional events to complement the exhibit.
