The Good Tern Co-op, the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and The Landing Place will be offering a free workshop for all ages on Thursday, April 22 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the CMCA courtyard, located at 21 Winter Street in Rockland, to celebrate Earth Day.

Teaching artist Kim Bernard will help participants turn discarded plastics into recycled sculptures. Participants must bring their own clean # 2 plastic items.

Bernard creates a recycled, kinetic, interactive, public sculpture that involves the community. She is currently focusing on recovering plastic waste in sculptural installations using portable recycling machines.
