Olotu trains young artists to address social issues with the arts
Young artists were trained to use their works to address political and social issues in Nigeria.
The artists were trained at Jude Olotu’s first contemporary art exhibition on the theme “Moods Relics of Courage” in Abuja.
Jude Olotu said the nine-day exhibition aims to stimulate and motivate young Nigerians to stand up bravely like the lions of old, who fought to bring Nigeria to independence. Artists were introduced to the art, mentored and mentored while giving them a taste of painting.
Olotu, who also unveiled the Excel Signature Creative Hub, said it was a paradise for those interested in fine art, digital art, sculpture, metal art , wood art, interior design, product design and cinematography.
He also plans to unveil a reality TV show called The Art Maestro of the Year.
Speaking about Olotu’s art, Omolola Olakunri said, “You can’t help but stop and watch as you begin to unravel the layers of mystery and thought that go into every masterpiece. work. The first summary I had the privilege of seeing kept me on my toes until I had an epiphany. It was a 4 foot painting of gold crescents.
Olakunri said he speaks about the beauty, malleability and indestructibility of gold while being stunning enough to grab attention.
“That, and over 300 equally incredible works of art, encapsulate the diverse moods of a prodigious artist who speaks through his craft. He is an unobtrusive artist, who until now has had few exhibitions, but whose work occupies an entire building and is jam-packed. That should change now though.
Speaking further, Olakunri said that Olotu has created and nurtured many arts talents and students which led to the establishment of Excel Signature Creative Hub in Abuja.
“The Creative Hub is a place where creative artists are trained in fine art, digital art, metal art, wood art, sculpture, product design, cinematography and production, music and photography. Artists also benefit from national and international exposure.
“The hub is already paying dividends for society as a range of talent is regularly filled through the mentorship and tutelage of the art maestro himself,” Olakunri added.
