Marshall Fredericks’ son continues the legacy at the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum
SAGINAW — The Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum at Saginaw Valley State University presents a new exhibit, “The Carl & Christina Fredericks Collection: Advancing Dad’s Legacy,” now open to the public through August 27.
Carl M. Fredericks, named after Swedish sculptor Carl Milles, was known as a local business leader in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California, where he resided, and a long supporter of the arts. Carl acquired a collection of art from his father, including works by Milles, after his parents died. Following Carl’s passing in June 2021, he bequeathed this collection to the Marshall M. Fredericks Sculpture Museum to help supplement the museum’s collection. The Museum has organized an exhibition of these works of art to share this recent donation of works of art in memory of Carl and his wife Christina Fredericks.
