Visit one of the parks in the MetroParks 11 area
MetroParks in Butler County is a fantastic local resource that has been available throughout the pandemic. The 11 parks are open daily from 8 a.m. to nightfall. Parks are available within a very short drive for most residents. Although Motor Vehicle Permits (MVPs) are required to enter a MetroPark, they are free to all residents of Butler County. Non-residents can purchase an MVP in 2021 for $ 8 / day and $ 15 / year. For more details on each of the parks and what they offer, visit www.yourmetroparks.net.
“To get the most out of MetroParks tours in 2021, my recommendation would be to ‘Shake it Up’. Shake it up by exploring a new park other than the ones you usually visit. Each park has a different personality and each one certainly has a different feel. Get to know them all… You might find a new favorite, ”said Kelly Barkley, supervisor, Community and Corporate Initiatives Division at Butler County MetroParks.
According to the traffic data collected, MetroPark locations saw a record number of visitors in 2020. Visit the MetroParks website for the latest updates on programming. Also enjoy virtual programming on the MetroParks website at www.yourmetroparks.net.
